What shade of red lipstick looks nice with red hair?

I am attending a formal dinner and will be wearing a black and white dress and plan on wearing turquoise jewelry to add some color - I am a redhead and do not look good in red. Is there a shade of red lipstick that would look nice or should I wear a different bold color? (Blue eyes and fair skin and I'm 40)What shade of red lipstick looks nice with red hair?

It totally depends on yoou and whether you can pull it off or not. If you can wear funky things without looking ridiculous you'll be fine with a bright red lipstick or gloss if not a really good brand is natio the pinks are great its a lipstick but it glides on like a gloss and is shiny, it needs a lip liner with it. I think you should get the new pinky/red avon lipstick that is a lipstick with gloss, it makes your lips sparkle and stand out nice!!
well, I'm sure you'll look great, and i recommend rimmel london lipstick, any red shade looks good, or better yet, artistry ruby lipstick
i won't say your dress and jewellery actually makes a good combination.and since you have red hair and blue eyes its quite contrasting.why don't you wear silver or stone jewellery. with a lot of shine.you might look good in a nude makeup. pale eye shadow,liner and pale gloss or lipstick.light brown with a shimmer or coral pink gloss.
