What do you think of red lipstick on girls?

This could be answered by any gender, just curious!


i'm considering it in a more casual look rather than an elegant look.

What do you think of red lipstick on girls?
When applied correctly red lipstick can look amazing.


When i mean applying correctly i mean balancing the rest of your make-up to suit the look, and also the physical application of the product.





Look around on youtube for tutorials on how to apply, ask friends, use the internet, or go to a beauty counter Eg. Lancome and ask a representitive on how to apply correctly.





The shade of the red is also important. Many people think red lipstick is basic just red. However there are many shades that suit different people, their skin tones, and hair colours. Eg a darker, plum red.





The balance of other make-up is also important.


When wearing red lipstick is it always made to make a statement.


Id would extremly advise wearing only foundation, concelar and powder, possibly one coat of mascara with the red lipstick. Making the skin look fresh but the main focus on the lips themselevs.


I would never wear red lipstick with dark eyemake-up too as this look is overpowering and can look tacky and un tasteful.





Finally,


the product should be of high quality.


A cheap red lipstick that flakes in places, or rubs off in sections of the lips could look worse!


Make sure the lipstick you are buying is not nesscierally expensive but of high quality. Ask friends, or do research on the internet through reviews on red lipsticks.





Personally when applying red lipstick i use:


A lipbalm- e.g Vaseline ( pre lip colour; to prepare the base/ moustirize)


A Lip liner- 1/2 shades darker than lip colour


A Lipstick- 1 shade lighter than liner.


and blend well.

i think for a more elegant look it can look really good.


but if i saw a girl walking around in an everyday outfit, like jeans and a t-shirt, i'd think she was trashy.

well it totally depends on her complexion,usually girls with white skin tones look good..


well offcoarse it look bold
i think its ugly and makes even a classy lady look trashy. its really pretty in like modeling pictures or high fashion pictures, but in real life its laughable.
eh for like older women I guess but it really depends on what color skin tone you have cuz it could also make you look trahsy
