What colour eyeshadow looks best with bright red lipstick?

I want to wear a bright red lipstick but dont have a clue of what colour eyeshadow to wear with it. I dont usually wear red but I am looking for a dramatic look that will stand out, anyone got any ideas? Thanks. :)What colour eyeshadow looks best with bright red lipstick?
Go with a neutral color eye. Wear a goldish sheer color, so all the attention will be the lip.

Her are some ideas of what to do. And some tips.

Marilyn Style

Flash back to the original glamour queen and create your own Marilyn style. Add some long eye lashes and shimmer eye shadow to your red lipstick and off you go. For that extra touch, create a beauty mark just above your lips with a spot of black eyeliner.

Geisha Girl

Red lipstick is the staple product of the Geisha look. Start with white theatrical face makeup over your entire face. Rub a little red blush into the apples of the cheeks. Use a black eyebrow pencil to give your eyebrows a thin arched appearance and line the entire eye with liquid liner adding a line extension going up at the outer edge and going down at the inner edge of you add. Finish the look with the classic red lip color.

Skin Tones

A strong red is best for olive skin, while the medium tone Caucasian woman should wear a more delicate red color. Ebony skin looks best with a brownish red and the ivory skin tones should save red lipstick for only those special occasions calling for some extra drama.

Tips for Red Lipstick

Cream or matte lip color is best for a strong red shade.

A true red is better bought straight from the store instead of trying to mix your own.

Darker shades are suitable on larger lips as the deep reds have a tendency to make lips look thinner.

Ultimately red lipstick is optimum for a younger woman, but not too young. The bright red color is too dramatic for teens and tends to make an older women look more aged.

When mixing your own lip colors, use red as an addition to brighten up your combination. Just add in small amounts.

If red is your favorite lipstick 鈥?but it doesn鈥檛 work with your skin type, tone it down with a neutral color and create your own personalized lip covering.

Add a little shimmer to your red lipstick to combat the tendency that red has to make your lips look smaller.

Even if red lip color is definitely not your shade, keep a small tube around to seal your love notes with a kiss of red. What colour eyeshadow looks best with bright red lipstick?
when your focus is on one part (in your case lips) then your best to stay away from shadow (cos it makes yout face seem crowded) although you should make your eyes stand out with lots of mascara and kohl liner, hope this helps
i think black and smoky eyes shadows goes very well with the dramatic look %26amp; the bright lip stick

and yeah have lace over your eyes thats so gonna be sexy on you and dramatic too
The rule of thumb is if you play up one feature, play down everything else. So what i am saying is go easy on the eye makeup. If I were you I would only wear some black mascara, curl your lashes, and that's it. If you're particularly talented at putting on eyeliner, then do a bit of that too, but you might turn out looking quite skanky lol. If you insist on wearing eyeshadow, go with a very light/subtle shimmery taupe/gold/neutral color.
Go for as natural as possible but you do have to make up your eyes (it doesn't look as groomed if you just put on the lipstick)

There are some lovely neutral pallets for eyes:

Deep brown, smoky grayish black, or a very deep purple (for darker skins)
black or silver
Try earth tones eyeshadow such as light brown; and then apply the black eyeliner %26amp; mascara to make your eyes look bigger %26amp; sharp. Smokey eyes is also work (but not too dark or too fancy please).

The best look I like for a red lip is make your lip out standing by using very light colour else where on your face.
I love making a statement with red lips. When wearing red lips, don't ever wear a bold eye color such as blue, green, or purple. Go with a subtle gold, taupe, pink, or brown eyeshadow, with a brown-black mascara and a brown-black liner. Then the focus is right on your bold lips!
I would say soft pinks would look nice. Maybe the Go Black Box Eye Shadows from go cosmetics as they have some nice range.
Baby blue. then you look like the clown you always wanted to be.
go very neutral on eyes red lips and dark eyes won't look right it would be to much they are so stupid who told you to do that. They really don't know anything about makeup combos certain colors are just better together. And like you eyes and lips would be battling against each other. You can't do eyes and lips do one or the other.I would say use bronzer on cheek and eye lids a little on the lids.Or brown, tans, light browns on eyes lids very in style now add some thin line of black liner on eyes lids to make you pop even more with out over doing it.They are the perfect color combos for red lips.this is how they where it magazines.Or try a gray eye shawdow with a pale pink lip so cute.oh yeah you always where mascara always always no matter what you doing or wearing.
smokey eyes look good wid red
I would go very very very neutral on the eyelids with red lipstick .... I would just do a beige all over color and a really light brown to add some defination. If you have too many colors on your face you can look really overdone and somewhat clownish! I usually just do the neutral with black eyeliner and I am done. Its verry cute! Good choice on the color!
if you wear bright lipstick, go very very neutral for your eye makeup. try maybe not even wearing eyeshadow! but if youre like me, then youre gonna want at least some sort of eyeshadow on. go for a super light brown, or a creme color.

add some black mascara, and youre done!
I would say light brown or maybe a light shade of pink?
Well, if you up-play the lips, go for a subtle/smokey eyeshadow/eyeliner it will look gorgeous x-x-x
Well if ur gonna wear bright red lip stick wear a colour that would tone it down but if ur going 4 the dramatic look wear something bright and short skirt
Personally, whenever i want 2 wear red lipstick i like 2 use liquid eyeliner on the top (only) n mascara. The liquid eyeliner looks best when done in a fine line that starts 4rm very thin 2 thicker by the end of the eye with an elegant curv.
If you are going to wear red lipstick I only recommend wearing it after 6. The BEST way would be a dramatic smokey eye. red lips, smokey eyes, and loose curls. It's so 1920's and glam!!!
