What do you think of red lipstick?

I just got a red lip tint and I absolutely love it, though it's definitely more dramatic than anything I'm used to wearing. Who do you think can pull off red lips best and what kind of makeup do you wear with it without looking too overdone? Also is it more of an evening look?What do you think of red lipstick?

+if your eyes aren't over done then a red lip can be worn.


+pink checks don't look the best with red go with a bronzer on checks


+wear some black mascara and curl your lashes.

I think some one with very pale skin looks best with red lip stick and very minimal eye makeup....liner a little mascara and maybe a light beige or cream eye but not much.
I love red lipstick! You should wear it with everything else very natural. Gwen Stefani can pull off red lipstick very well! It can be more of an ';evening look'; if it's paired with smokey eyes, but I think that looks like you have way too much make up on your face. It can be a regular day time look if everything else is natural. Just use some light mascara and concealer with it, and you're good to go!
NO red lipstick is AWESOME!!! But you need to wear it right when you wear red lipstick. Only put mascara on thats it and then your red lipstick. Also when you put it on kiss a papertowel so it does not run, also put your finger in your mouth like a straw and pull your finger out. This stops it from getting on your teeth.
it depends on your skin tone. I'm really tan, and my best friend got me some bright red lipstick, and i look like a clown with it on. A paler person looks good with it. A paler person will pull it off better in a Marlyin Monroe way. Keep the rest of the makeup natural to pull off the red lip. Wearing blue eyeshadow and red lipstick will only make you look like a clown.
if you want to wear red lipstick then make sure your skin isnt too tan, that just makes you look really fake.


it is more of an evening look but can be worn during the day too with the right clothes.

It really depends what you look like(hair color, skin tone, eye color, etc.). I think if you have dark brown hair it will look good and also of you have dark skin. Also if you are paleish and have blonde or red hair. You should NOT wear it with pastel blue eyeshadow, maybe a blue (dark dark dark) eye pencil liner if you really want to wear it but i think the worst look is: red lips baby pink cheeks and pastel blue eye shadow.... please dont do that. I hope this helps but i reallly think it looks good on brunettes.
Red lipstick I feel should be used for an evening event or outing. For the daytime, I would keep it more natural.
way too bold, unless you have dark hair.. then it matches you more. Like Rachel Bilson, she wears it great. Blond sometimes works too like on Christina Aguilera, but that kind of looks too old skwl
red lipstick is sorta fake looking and scary... sorta makes u look like some blood-sucking vampire... and u r right about dramatic!!!


i don't know anyone who can pull off bright red lips, and i'd recommend a brownish redish color... and lip gloss would be really good!
It is more of an evening look but i wear it in day sometimes. Okay no a lot of the time. You dont want too much of a tan but you dont want to be super pale. Brown eyes and haiir look best with red lipstick i think as the red can balance out the brow.


Wear nuteral eyeshadow and just some mascara with the lip for day and at night you could do a smokey eye or just apply eyeliner around the eye.
